Investment Philosophy

Our investment philosophy is to lead or co-lead investments with other internationally-minded investors in companies that have leading-edge technologies and which can grow into global and sustainable businesses.

We will work with entrepreneurs and leverage the experience of our core team and strategic partners, advisors and broader networks to connect these start-up and early stage firms to customers. We will also be active in post-investment value creation and follow-on investment/exit strategy development.

Our commitment to our portfolio companies and to our investors centers on “active investment partnering” which, simply put, means we work closely with management teams to establish and achieve specific development goals in key areas. Our objective is to ensure that we have the right mix of capital and non-capital resources in order to bring the company to a state of development that attracts top-tier follow-on investors or a successful exit. Post-funding, Garage Canada will work with the management team to achieve these goals.
