About Garage Canada

Garage Technology Ventures Canada (Garage Canada) was founded on the premise that unexploited opportunities and synergies exist in the technology markets in Silicon Valley and Canada. Garage Canada is one of Canada’s newest private, institutionally-backed, early-stage venture capital funds, whose close ties with Silicon Valley and other emerging global clusters provides a unique strategic perspective on business cycles, market trends, and technology that we bring to our portfolio companies.

Our team and its advisors consists of accomplished professional investors, former CEOs, senior executives and technology company founders that span the globe across a range of technologies.

Our investment interests focus on digital technology (including software, Internet media services, digital biomedical devices, and bioinformatics), cleantech, material sciences (including nanosystems and advanced materials) and converging technologies.

Garage Canada is the first international affiliate of Garage Technology Ventures in Palo Alto. This relationship with Silicon Valley, along with the team’s global connections, provide for direct access to a rich and diverse pool of technical and market expertise, in addition to invaluable follow-on investors, customers and value-added networks.

Our team is supported by other highly experienced external advisors to the fund, including prominent Canadian, American and European venture professionals and senior executives.
